Our Story
hi there,
My grandmother, Ilona, often wore scarves throughout the day to protect her hair as she worked.
I started Ilona because I believe hair care should be practical and timeless. My goal is to design gorgeous patterns so you can wear our quality pieces for years without having to replace them often.
Because quality is of utmost importance, all scarves are made from 100% Mulberry Silk. This type of silk is naturally hypoallergenic and regulates temperature well, all while protecting your hair from irritation, allowing it to grow strong and healthy.
These pieces are heirloom.

FAQs
Returns & Exchanges
We try really hard to make sure our scarves are absolutely perfect, but if your order includes something that isn’t up to standard (snag, rip, misprint) please reach out to us with your order number to start a return/exchange.
Due to the nature of scarves being a personal item, we cannot accept returns on items unless they arrive damaged.
Shipping
Orders over $80 ship free!
We aim to ship all orders within 3-4 business days. Everything is shipped tracked with USPS, and expedited shipping* is also available for an added fee.
*Please be aware that processing times on expedited orders are still 3-4 business days, only the shipping will be expedited through the postal service.
Care
It is recommended that your mulberry silk scarf be gently washed with cold water, preferably by hand. Do not wring. Lay flat to dry. Iron on lowest setting if necessary or steam to remove wrinkles. Be careful not to burn silk.

Sustainability
Each pattern is printed in limited, small batches to ensure we are doing our part and not creating excess waste.
Orders are shipped in recyclable mailers, and scarves are packaged in cotton pouches which double as storage. All scarves are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified.
We're always open to suggestions to be even more sustainable, so if you have any ideas, please do not hesitate to share!
